Lorrie Gren is one of our Strength & Conditioning Coaches She loves showing people that they can do more than they thought they could. “I was always intrigued by CrossFit and wanted to try it because it looked like so much fun.,” she says. “Once I got a taste of it, I was hooked. I wanted to help others experience what I did and help them to achieve their athletic goals.”

A natural athlete, Lorrie is a four-time Ironman finisher in addition to finishing multiple half Ironman’s and marathons. She has participated in adventure races, placed 1st in our Starke Games Individual RX’d, and on our Starke Games 3rd place team—six weeks post baby! Before she started her family, Lorrie was a full-time firefighter. “My fitness journey started when I was in grade seven,” she says. “I asked my gym teacher if I could use the weight room. He said the weight room was ‘for the boys’ and I should do aerobics. I didn’t listen and I fell in love with working out and pushing myself. I wonder what he thought of me becoming a firefighter?”

In her spare time, Lorrie enjoys spending time with her daughter Lexa, her family, exercising to feel better (mentally and physically), helping people or animals in distress whether on or off the job, and helping people achieve their goals.
