Monday 6-06-22 Workout Of The Day

A.
E90 – 6
1 Drop Snatch + 1 Over Head Squat (OHS)

Part A. is all about speed and punching under the bar as fast as you can. For those that struggle with an overhead squat position you have two options (well three actually but staying home shouldn’t be one of them)
1. Stay lighter and work on speed, footwork and getting to a quick lockout position. There’s still great benefit to training the brain & body connection for this movement even if you’re staying lighter.
2. Perform a tall high hang squat clean if you you can’t get into an overhead position. The bar will be in the high hang position and you’ll be on your toes balanced and ready to actively pull yourself under the bar as fast as possible receiving the bar in a front rack position.

B.
E2M – 6
1 Snatch Balance + 2 OHS

Time to get a little heavier and add a dip. The snatch balance is a little easier to do than the drop snatch and you should be able to go heavier…

C.
AMRAP – 10
8 OHS
16 Alt. Toe Taps (handle of a kettlebell)
16/20 Kcal Row

RX: 65/95#
Intermediate: 55/75#
Beginner: 35/45#

Be controlled and move fast. This will be a quick workout and those toe taps will catch up to you. Have fun 🙂
